Visiting Specialist Clinic
The Visiting Specialist Clinic (VSC) provides an expedited, comprehensive surgical assessment for qualified third parties such as workers compensation boards, the federal government and non-residents of Canada, to determine the likelihood that an illness or injury will require surgical management. The VSC expertise covers a variety of surgical areas offered by more than 20 specialists, including: orthopaedics, plastics, podiatry and general surgery.
The VSC expedites the time required to see a specialist to determine the surgical candidacy of the individual. Surgical services, for appropriate individuals, are performed at the Health Resource Centre within days or a few weeks of the surgical assessment.
